Match.com takes your money, and makes you think they have dates for you by sending a few pics of people interested in your profile. The bother you with it all day by sending you lies until you subscribe.

I have been on the site for 3 weeks and haven't had a date. I called for a refund and someone from another country told me no refund. I asked to speak with retention and as soon as they come on the line, the phone goes dead. It must be nice to take people's hard earned money.

Don't worry match soon your match will come. You haven't heard the last from me.

Not stopping at this post.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $74.

Match Cons: No matches, Scam, Lies, False advertising, Garabage.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

I haven't been using Match.com for long (several weeks), but so far it has been useless.

I'm a white man over 50, and considering the work it takes, the results have been terrible (NO matches and two email responses to say "thanks, but no). I'm not what you'd consider a "handsome" man, but I'm okay looking, and certainly not ugly.

I'm not a wealthy man, but I'm making a reasonable income for an artist & designer. I'm an avid cyclist, so I'm very fit, not overweight. I'm above average intelligence and I DO actually have a good sense of humor, something that every woman seems to want/need/require.

I'm not trolling the site for casual sex (that's what CraigsList is for).

But here's reasons why the site totally fails:

1). 50% of the women who keep Winking, Favoriting and Liking my photos are 20-somethings in completely different parts of the country looking to score with a sugar-daddy who's naive enough to respond to their blatant, transparent come-ons.

2).

Most of the women in my age bracket want men 10-15 years younger, or men with wealth, or they're unattractive lonely people (sorry ladies) who appear to have been boozing for way too long. 3). And this is most important: Whenever Match.com advertises a "free weekend" or promotional event for "free" access, those people don't receive any communications from you, so you can wink, Fav, and email all you like, but only paid subscribers receive communications from potential matches. It's like a one way mirror.

They can look out from behind the glass, but you can't actually introduce yourself to them. Seems as if at least half the people people are permanent non-subscribers. The thing is Match.com doesn't tell you that. They want all of their paying subscribers (suckers) to think that they have access to everyone we are interested in.

Don't believe the hyped commercials. Match.com is basically a scam.
